Must be 18 or older Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, food preparation, and customer service within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting the dietary department's operations. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health standards. Support food handling, bussing, and cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic dining environment. Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of low stock levels. Follow food safety protocols during meal preparation and serving to prevent contamination. Provide friendly customer service to residents, addressing their dietary needs with professionalism and respect. Assist with meal setup, portioning, and delivery to ensure timely service for residents. Requirements Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and staff effectively. Experience with food preparation, serving, and kitchen sanitation practices is highly desirable. A genuine interest in supporting the health and well-being of residents through nutritious meal service. Supervisory experience desirable. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly while recognizing that the community is the residents' home. Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual. Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff Must meet all health requirements. Must pass criminal background check. Pay:
From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
