Job Summary:
We're looking for a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the planning, preparation, and service of nutritious meals that support our residents' health and recovery. You'll lead a dedicated dietary team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive excellence in food service operations. This is more than a kitchen job—it's a leadership role at the intersection of nutrition and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage daily and weekly meal plans that meet residents' nutritional needs and medical requirements Supervise dietary staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met in all food handling and kitchen operations Maintain accurate dietary records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff on individualized resident care plans Manage food and supply inventory, ordering, and budget control Conduct regular audits of food service operations and implement improvements
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required Experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care facility preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of dietary regulations, nutrition principles, and food safety guidelines Ability to adapt menus to special diets including diabetic, cardiac, and dysphagia diets ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Why Bradbury Commons?
