As a vital member of our nursing home, you will help prepare and serve meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents in a clean, safe, and friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing, plating, and serving meals to residents. Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and portion size. Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation guidelines. Follow dietary restrictions and special meal instructions for residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Provide assistance to residents during mealtimes in a kind and respectful manner.
Qualifications:
Previous food service or healthcare experience is helpful, but we provide training. Basic knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation practices preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Compassion and patience when working with the elderly.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
Schedule:
Schedule is 12:00pm-8:00pm with rotating weekends off
