In this energetic position, you will assist in food preparation, service, and sanitation within a vibrant healthcare environment. Your contribution will ensure that residents receive high-quality meals in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, supporting their health and well-being every day. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Responsibilities Assist with food production and meal preparation to meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Serve meals with a friendly attitude, ensuring timely delivery and proper portioning. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining areas, and food handling stations. Support food safety protocols by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Help with bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and organizing dining areas to promote a hygienic environment. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure efficient meal service and accurate documentation of food intake. Contribute to a positive dining experience by providing excellent customer service and respecting residents' needs. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required. Culinary or food service experience demonstrating knowledge of food preparation, handling, and sanitation practices is highly valued. Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietetics is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during meal times. Previous roles involving food handling, serving, cleaning, or kitchen support will be considered an asset. Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
