Food Service Aide:

Under supervision, the Food Service Aide performs a variety of dining room, kitchen, and cleaning functions relating to the preparation and serving of meals to the Residents and staff of the Masonic Home of Virginia maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment. Food Service Aide:

Collects menus from Residents; assists Residents as necessary in completing menu selections. Corrects menus as prescribed by diet complying with dietary restrictions of special/modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within the guidelines of diet order limitations; communicates any related problems/concerns to management. Ensures that the salad bar is kept well-stocked and clean. Assists in maintaining inventory and cleanliness in stock room. As established by department guidelines, checks and logs temperatures of all equipment (i.e., freezers, refrigerators, ovens, etc.). Operates and cleans dish machine and assigned equipment per department procedures including routine sanitizer solution and temperature checks; reporting needed maintenance or repair. Delivers meals and nourishments; inventorying and recording supplies on units within established time frames following department procedures. Qualifications of the
