Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Dietary Aide and Activities Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This dynamic position combines food service and activity coordination, offering a rewarding opportunity to foster a vibrant, caring community. You will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and sanitation while also engaging residents in meaningful activities that promote well-being and social interaction. Your energy, compassion, and organizational skills will help create a warm and lively environment for all. Duties Support meal service by assisting with food preparation, plating, serving, and clean-up to ensure timely and appealing dining experiences Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the dietary department and kitchen areas Help with food handling and storage following proper procedures to ensure freshness and safety Assist with setting up activity spaces, organizing recreational events, and engaging residents in social, physical, or cognitive activities tailored to their interests Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents, staff, visitors, and vendors Support the dietary team with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a hygienic environment Follow all health regulations and safety protocols related to food production, sanitation, and activity facilitation Skills Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Background in food production or the food industry including culinary experience or food handling skills Strong time management abilities to balance meal service duties with activity coordination effectively Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper cleaning procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Ability to assist with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen sanitation tasks efficiently Experience in organizing or leading activities that promote socialization and engagement among residents This role offers an exciting chance to make a positive impact daily while developing your skills in dietary services and resident engagement.
