Each position oversees three of the six Arizona Fall League teams. Individual interacts with stakeholders connected to the Arizona Fall League, including but not limited to: caterers, stadium staff, field staff, MLB affiliate clubs and staff of the Commissioner's office. This role will start in mid-September in the Phoenix metro area through the end of the AFL season on November 15. One dietician will oversee the three teams in the west valley and the other will oversee the three teams in the east valley. Responsibilities Collaborate with AFL Leadership and affiliates on forming and executing the nutrition vision and strategy Primary liaison with team caterers to ensure quality and execution to industry standards Provide specific support with respect to food, menus, and recovery nutrition during AFL season Oversee nutrition budget forecasting and tracking for assigned teams Perform other duties/tasks as assigned Facilitates adherence to all health and safety protocols including compliance with MLB/PA policies on dietary supplement and functional food use Qualifications & Skills Master's level degree or higher Bilingual (English & Spanish) candidates preferred Registered Dietitian Experience in a similar role with a MLB organization or professional sport league Strong written and oral communication skills Must work well independently and collaboratively Excellent prioritization and time management skills Strong understanding of industry Availability to work nights and weekends Experience in leadership roles with a strategic approach and budget management Timing & Compensation Position begins in mid-September and runs through mid-November Compensation includes: Bi-weekly stipend Travel/housing allowance for out of state hires Hires are responsible for securing housing and transportation
