SR DIETITIAN 2
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR required based on area assignment within 3 months of hire or upon an assignment change requiring BLS Successful completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice experience, approved or accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Strong academic background and applied background in clinical nutrition Knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy principles, including enteral and parenteral nutrition support Experience with using computers for daily tasks and communications, including word processing, presentation software and spreadsheet software Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and be understood in EnglishDIETITIAN SR
(additional requirements to the above) Holds one of the following:- An advanced degree, masters or higher
- Certification in area of specialty practice
- Certificate from a training program in area of specialty Completion and approval of SR Dietitian portfolio while employed by UC Davis Health Five (5) or more years relevant work experience Strong academic background and applied background in clinical nutrition Knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy principles, including enteral and parenteral nutrition support Experience with using computers for daily tasks and communications, including word processing, presentation software and spreadsheet software Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and be understood in English Demonstrates ability to work effectively use electronic medical record to gather pertinent information for nutrition assessments Demonstrates understanding of Nutrition Care Process and ADIME charting techniques Demonstrates current knowledge of specialty area Preferred Qualifications

Specialty Certification in area of practice preferred (e.g., but not limited to, CNSC, CSO, CDCES, CSR, CSG, CSP, CSPCC, CSOWM, CSSD, RDN-AP/RD-AP, etc.) For Pediatric positions/assignments: California Children's Services (CCS) Dietitian Paneling designation (or eligible to obtain within one year) is strongly preferred Two (2) or more years relevant work experience Work experience or majority of clinical training in a large teaching hospital/academic medical center Experience using electronic medical record Experience teaching and supervising dietetic interns or other students Key Responsibilities 45%COORDINATE THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY 20
