Full Job Description Registered Dietitian Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide nutritional care which will result in the optimal health and nutritional status of the residents.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a health care setting preferred. Must meet all license, certification, training or credentials as required by the State. Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn the requirements of Federal and State Regulations related to the Dietary Department. Must be computer literate. Must be ablet to manage and menu's withing budget Must have the ability to plan, organize, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Dietary Department.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate the nutritional care of residents and document in the medical record Using the company formulary, recommends dietary interventions according to the status of the resident Evaluate changes to the facility's menus for nutritional adequacy. Manage the menus within facility budget Provides monthly reviews and documentation for residents with weight loss, receiving enteral nutrition, wound care and others at high risk. Assists the Dietary manager in developing, implementing and evaluation educations programs for dietary and nursing personnel
