  • Job Summary
  • Reviews medical records, records diet histories, and assesses the nutritional status of patients.
Provides education as appropriate to patients, family members, and/or caretakers regarding therapeutic diets, enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition. Monitors patient nutritional intake and tolerance. Assesses patients on parenteral and enteral feedings. Records patient assessments and reassessments on the electronic medical record (EMR). Participates in staff development and nutrition presentations within the organization as needed.
  • Job Requirements
  • Minimum Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/ Nutrition or related degree from an accredited college or university.
Master's degree required if registration obtained after January 1, 2024. Active membership in a national professional organization preferred (i.e., Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Diabetes Association, National Kidney Foundation, American Association of Diabetes Educators) in order to maintain current knowledge and trends in the profession. Active participation in local and state organizations is encouraged.
  • Minimum Experience Requirement:
  • Prior experience in acute care clinical dietetics. Experience with providing nutrition education desired. Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Minimum License Requirement:
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
BLS preferred. Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time.
