Registered Dietitian Norwalk Care Center Norwalk, CT Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Food quality maintenance Kitchen health and safety standards Food service health code compliance Treatment plan documentation Client rapport building Process improvement Clinical case management notes Mid-level Working with individuals with specific medical conditions Emotional support for patients Food safety sanitizing procedures Resident rapport building Emotional safety support Coordination with healthcare staff for dietary services Dietetics Registered Dietitian Patient progress monitoring Patient interaction Managing food service teams Addressing dietary restrictions in food service Therapy progress note documentation Full Job Description Participates in the process of diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services Plan and evaluate programs and activities of the Food Services Department (food handling, sanitation, preparation, services, procedures and equipment) Ensure that charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive of services provided and of resident's response to service Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents as necessary Work with the facility's consultants as necessary and implement recommended changes as required. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Meet with Dietary and Nursing staff as needed, to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift. Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the dietary needs of each resident Interpret and evaluate information on a patient's chart and make recommendations for appropriate medical nutrition therapy.
