Providing nutritional meals throughout the Correctional Industry with pride! Dietitian must have a strong understanding of therapeutic diets as well as institutional food service. Registered Dietitian is considered part of the Kitchen Management Team and should have an in-depth understanding of the Food Service Directors' responsibilities with in-depth knowledge of all matters concerning operations. Ensures adequate products, resources, and tools are readily available for standards compliance. Coaches, counsels, disciplines, monitors, and enforces compliance with CBM Premier Standards. Works with DOC security to ensure safety standards are followed at all times. Communicates instruction to staff and inmate workers as needed. Communicates and works with Operations Director to assure all forms and documents are accurately completed and submitted properly. Works with Operations Director and Department Managers to delegate daily and weekly quality assessments and ensure that they are completed. Directly performs formal weekly and monthly assessment inspections of facility, staff, and food. Assess current policies and procedures in relation to problem solving for operational issues. Manages control procedures for production quality of food products and services. Manages control procedures for food preparation relative to population needs. Manages control procedures for the serving line with strict adherence to portion control and menu requirements. Assigns tasks, trains, coaches, counsels, discipline, monitors & enforces policies and procedures as needed. Ensure all staff assignments are completed correctly and on time. Participate in training of existing and newly hired staff in all departments. Anticipates operational needs and makes appropriate decisions accordingly. Assists Senior Management Team as needed in any and all areas as needed. Responds to grievances as needed. Works with medical as requested and needed for patient inmate needs.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must possess food service experience, preferably institutional experience in a leadership role. Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, with a strong goal orientation. Ability to work independently without continuous supervision. Must have excellent problem-solving skills Must possess food safety certification. Must pass criminal background check. Bachelor's Degree Must be a current registered and licensed (as needed per state regulation) dietitian.
