Overview We are seeking a qualified Certified Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of nutrition services, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and managing staff to deliver exceptional meal programs for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in dietary management within healthcare settings, demonstrating strong leadership and operational skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement nutritious, appealing menus aligned with residents' dietary needs and preferences, including specialized diets such as tube feeding and care plans. Supervise dietary staff, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to foster a cohesive team environment. Conduct patient assessments to tailor meal plans effectively while ensuring nutritional adequacy and safety. Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations. Manage budgeting, inventory control, and procurement processes to optimize resources and control costs within the dietary department. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support diagnostic evaluations and physiologically appropriate nutrition interventions. Ensure all dietary operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including documentation for health coaching and care plans. Qualifications Certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential from an accredited organization. Proven management experience within assisted living or healthcare food service environments. Extensive knowledge of nutrition science, physiology, dietetics, and therapeutic diets such as tube feeding. Demonstrated supervising experience with dietary staff in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and the development of individualized care plans. Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and resource allocation in a food services context. Excellent leadership skills combined with effective communication abilities to motivate teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
