Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and dietary needs. Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing techniques to motivate positive behavioral changes. Manage specialized nutrition support procedures such as tube feeding and parenteral nutrition as needed. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions for chronic disease management, weight loss, geriatrics, and acute care cases. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent credentialing body. Proven experience working with individuals with specific dietary needs in clinical settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and clinical nutrition principles. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Experience supervising dietetic interns or staff is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate diverse populations. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes, care planning, and nutritional analysis tools. Knowledge of nutrition support techniques including tube feeding and dietary management for chronic illnesses like geriatrics or weight management programs.
