May work in a community setting or non-profit, governmental, or public health organization, offering nutritional advice to specific groups of people.

Matter:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for residents, including evaluation of medical conditions, dietary needs, weight trends, laboratory values, and nutritional risk factors. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Manage therapeutic diets, food preferences, texture modifications, and nutrition interventions to support resident health, safety, and quality of life. Monitor residents for changes in nutritional status, including weight loss/gain, hydration concerns, malnutrition risk, and response to dietary interventions; update care plans as needed. Provide nutrition education and guidance to residents, families, and facility staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and long-term care nutrition requirements. Qualifications for
Success:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics Current, unencumbered RD/RDN credential and Massachusetts licensure Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nutrition preferred. Knowledge of CMS regulations, nutrition assessments, care planning, and therapeutic diets. Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
