Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Regional Dietitian to join our healthcare team. This region covers areas approximately 45 minutes north and south of Greenfield Ma. We seek RDNs who are committed to improving patient outcomes through expert nutritional care. In this vital role, you will provide clinical nutrition services across multiple facilities within your designated region, ensuring the delivery of personalized nutrition support tailored to diverse patient needs. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, develop comprehensive care plans, and utilize electronic health records to monitor progress. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify specific dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate medical nutrition therapy (MNT), tube feeding protocols, and weight management strategies. Provide expert nutrition counseling and health coaching to patients with chronic illnesses, geriatrics, or those requiring specialized dietary interventions. Supervise and mentor dietetic staff within your region, ensuring adherence to best practices in clinical nutrition and documentation standards. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately for documentation of diagnostics, progress notes, and care plans. Stay current on advancements in physiology knowledge, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and nutrition support modalities to inform best practices. Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification required. Licensure in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and/or Connecticut is a plus. Proven experience in clinical nutrition, including hospital or long-term care settings, senior nutrition, and behavioral health nutrition. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), tube feeding procedures, and chronic disease management. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and client communication. Excellent skills in motivational interviewing, nutrition counseling, and client communication strategies. Ability to analyze nutritional data through diagnostic evaluation and nutritional analysis tools effectively.
