Registered Dietitian Bethesda Medical Associates Bethesda, MD Job Details Part-time $28 - $35 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Employee assistance program Qualifications Food handling Nutrition Bachelor's degree Dietetics Registered Dietitian Full Job Description We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team on a part‑time basis. This role is responsible for providing nutrition assessment, counseling, education, and program support to our patients as part of a collaborative, physician‑led practice focused on preventive and personalized care. The ideal candidate is patient‑focused, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including medical history, diet history, and lifestyle habits Provide individualized nutrition counseling and develop patient‑specific care plans Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient care and treatment goals Document assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and monitoring plans in the electronic medical record Educate patients on nutrition for weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health, hypertension, kidney disease, and other chronic conditions Support behavior change strategies and help patients create sustainable home nutrition plans Conduct nutritional screenings for MDVIP members as part of Annual Wellness Visits Provide patient education on food preparation and safe food handling Create monthly nutrition newsletters with practical tips and healthy recipes Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with an active state license Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics (Master's degree preferred) Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred Minimum one year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and the Nutrition Care Process (ADIME) Experience documenting in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Familiarity with medical terminology, food safety regulations, and nutrition‑related guidelines Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related computer applications We offer a collaborative, physician-led environment with a strong focus on preventive and personalized patient care.
