Diabetes Education Dietitian Position Summary Plans and provides outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with diabetes and/or other health conditions. Provides Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support to inpatients and outpatients in both group and individual settings. Works with the Nutrition and Diabetes Education Coordinator and diabetes care and education specialists including nurses and dietitians on the team to maintain ADA recognition status. Plans and conducts education for staff and public via in-services, presentations, health fairs and diabetes support groups. This position provides opportunity to fulfill requirements to become a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Diabetes Education Dietitian Position Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics Licensed by the
State of Maryland or Delaware Diabetes Education Dietitian Work Schedule Hours:
full time position 37.5 hours a week 8:30am-5:00pm and 12pm 8:30pm for evening hours for classes and support groups Occasional weekend work.

    • Friday occasional weekends/nights, 8:30am
    • 5pm /12pm
    • 8:30pm when facilitating classes
