Schedule:
Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to join a county WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program in Lumberton, NC on a 13-week contract assignment. In this role, you will provide nutrition services and education to individuals and families, helping improve health outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care and counseling. The Dietitian coordinates all phases of nutrition care, including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for patients and outpatients in a variety of settings. This position plays a vital role in promoting health and wellness throughout the community. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. Provide nutrition counseling and education to WIC participants and families. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and outcomes. Document encounters and maintain accurate records in the Crossroads charting system. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to support participant health goals. Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Promote healthy lifestyle choices through evidence-based nutrition practices. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or a related field (preferred and/or as required by state regulations). Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations. Previous Nutritionist/Dietitian experience required. Experience working with the Crossroads charting system required. Two (2) years of hospital, clinic, public health, or related experience preferred. Why Join This Assignment?
