The Clinical Dietitian I provides optimal nutritional care to patients, which compiles with the standards of care in the dietetic profession, The Clinical Dietitian I is responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, diet counseling, consults regarding advanced nutrition support, as well as assisting in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department, This role performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedure, This role develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed, provides inpatient discharge diet instructions, keeps thorough and updated information on patient profile sheets, and provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians, The Clinical Dietitian I collaborates with physicians and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care,Qualifications:

Work experience in a health care environmentCertifications and Licenses Required:
Registered Dietitian or RD eligible-completed ADA approved internshipScheduling Requirements:
Shift working, Monday-Friday 8-4pm Rotating weekend dayFT Essential Functions:
Provides all aspects of nutritional care based on established standards Performs age-specific nutritional assessments and develops nutritional plan Develops appropriate care plans, monitoring the nutritional status of patients Appropriately interprets patient data and responses to diet Adapts eating utensils appropriate to age/ability Counsels patients and/or family on nutrition education Consults with other health care personnel (Physician, nurse, pharmacist, social worker. Assists in supporting the highest possible patient satisfaction levels Ensures program effectiveness and in achievement of department and client goals. Demonstrates competency in usingGERIMENU
system, for inputting of patients/residents data intoGERIMENU
