Clinical Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian - RD)
Cortlandt Healthcare Cortlandt Manor, NY Full-Time Salary:
Up to $100,000 per year Lead Nutritional Excellence. Improve Resident Outcomes. Cortlandt Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian) to oversee the clinical nutrition program and lead our dietary services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nutrition professional who is passionate about improving resident health, developing effective nutrition strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of care. The Clinical Nutrition Manager will play a key role in overseeing nutritional assessments, care planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support positive resident outcomes. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the clinical nutrition program for the facility. Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans. Monitor residents' nutritional status, weight trends, laboratory values, and dietary needs. Ensure appropriate implementation of therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutrition interventions. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapy, dietary staff, and interdisciplinary team members. Provide clinical guidance and support to the Dietary Department. Supervise, train, and mentor dietary team members to promote quality and compliance. Participate in care plan meetings and communicate nutrition recommendations effectively. Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and industry standards related to nutrition services. Conduct nutrition audits and implement performance improvement initiatives. Monitor food service operations to ensure meals meet resident needs, preferences, and regulatory requirements. Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff regarding nutrition-related topics. Assist with survey preparation and maintain survey readiness. Qualifications Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Licensed or eligible for licensure as required by New York State. Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, clinical nutrition standards, and therapeutic diets. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Passion for providing exceptional nutrition care and improving residents' quality of life.
