The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert nutritional guidance and dietary management to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing individualized nutrition plans, and supervising the dietary department to ensure optimal patient care and health outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of patients to assess their nutritional needs and dietary restrictions. Develop personalized weight loss and nutrition plans tailored to individual patient goals and health conditions. Oversee tube feeding protocols for patients requiring enteral nutrition, ensuring proper administration and monitoring of nutritional intake. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary recommendations into overall patient care plans. Provide education to patients and families regarding dietary practices, meal planning, and nutrition-related topics. Supervise the dietary department staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards in food service. Conduct regular patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related field from an accredited institution. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential preferred or eligibility for registration. Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dietetics principles, including weight loss strategies, tube feeding management, and alimentary needs of diverse populations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Proven ability to supervise staff and manage departmental operations efficiently.
