DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on planning and delivering complete nutrition care services for consumers at Danville State Hospital. Through your work, you will help to ensure that nutrition programs meet individual needs and are in alignment with professional standards. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:
Nutrition Planning:
Plan and organize nutrition assessments, counseling, diet education, and discharge planning
Diet Management:
Prepare and revise modified diets and monitor consumer acceptance of menu items
Clinical Participation:
Attend meetings and recommend nutrition interventions that support consumer health
Program Support:
Maintain records, update policies, and assist with computer program meal tracking
Staff Guidance:
Provide direction to food service staff involved in nutrition care tasks
Professional Development:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday
- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
May change based on operational needs.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
This position requires active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
