Job Description

Seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition counseling in an outpatient setting. This dietitian must be highly organized and able to work both independently and as a collaborative member of the team. Should know motivational interviewing, enjoy working with clients, and have a passion for nutrition. We are currently seeking a specialist with experience in the following areas:

Weight ManagementGI DisordersDiabetesHeart DiseaseED a plus!
Scheduling:
You can create your own schedule; you just have to have a minimum of 16 hours of availability each week.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform nutritional assessments and ongoing medical nutrition therapy/counseling for clients with active eating disorders in individual sessionsBe familiar with various evidence-based treatment options, and be able to make appropriate referrals as neededStay on top of relevant research and best practicesCollaborate with an outpatient team of providers (doctors, therapists, etc.)Perform various administrative duties (chart notes, client & provider communication, etc.) - basic computer skills requiredOther tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)Minimum of 1 year working in outpatient Strong knowledge of counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavior therapy
