Position Summary:
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutrition screening, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation of resident care plans in accordance with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) standards and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete required nutrition assessments per MDS schedule (including Section K and applicable CAAs) Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans Monitor and revise nutrition interventions to ensure desired outcomes Provide nutrition recommendations addressing identified diagnoses Support compliance with PDPM principles Supervise and assist the Dietary Department to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction Maintain accurate documentation within PointClickCare or similar
EMR Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing Experience with MDS, PDPM, and NFPE Proficiency in PointClickCare or similar EMR preferred Long-term care experience strongly preferred (2+ years ideal, but less experience considered)
