Hartford, CT Job Details Contract $35 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish English Telehealth experience Telehealth platforms Telehealth therapy Dietetics Registered Dietitian Patient counseling Data collection Full Job Description Bilingual Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) - Contract Position CenaHealth is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to support an upcoming nutrition intervention in partnership with UConn Health. The program will serve approximately 60 adults living with HIV and will combine nutrition counseling with food-based support. The RDN will work directly with enrolled patients to provide individualized nutrition assessment, education, counseling, and ongoing support throughout the program.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting nutrition assessments and individualized counseling Providing culturally responsive nutrition education in English and Spanish Supporting patients with nutrition goals related to HIV and overall health Documenting patient encounters and participating in program data collection Collaborating with CenaHealth's clinical team and UConn Health's infectious disease team

Qualifications:

Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential Fluent in English and Spanish Active Connecticut dietitian-nutritionist certification/licensure, or eligibility to obtain it Experience providing clinical nutrition counseling Strong communication and patient-engagement skills Experience working with HIV, chronic disease, food insecurity, or underserved populations is preferred but not required Comfortable providing care through telehealth and/or telephone-based visits This is a contract opportunity associated with an upcoming UConn Health program anticipated to begin in October 2026 , pending final IRB approval. There may be opportunities to participate in additional CenaHealth programs as the company expands its health-system and payer partnerships. Interested?
