Part-time Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team for 10-40 hours weekly. The Bariatric Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient's program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care
• Counseling pre
• and post-surgical bariatric patients using motivational interviewing in a hybrid role (virtual and in-person).
• Participating in performance improvement efforts.
• Leading once monthly bariatric support group on a Tuesday evening.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required with licensure in TN
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dietitian in a clinical setting preferred
• Experience with bariatric surgery, specifically sleeve and RNY gastric bypass procedures, with competency in nutritional requirements for pre
• and post-surgical lifestyle
• Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing personalized diet plans
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to effectively educate and motivate patients towards positive dietary changes
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred but not required.
