Position Purpose The Dartmouth Peak Performance (DP2) Sports Dietitian provides comprehensive sports nutrition services to varsity studentathletes and teams, and the wider undergraduate student body through the Teevens Center. This is an Athleticsbased position reporting to the Director of Sports Nutrition with a dotted line to the Teevens Center Director and will contribute to advancing two key pillars:
Elevating the competitiveness of Dartmouth Athletics
"DP2 for All" - extending peak performance principles across campus. Description Required Qualifications Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 35 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or health related field.
At least three years of nutrition experience in a competitive athletic or tactical environment.
Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Licensed Dietitian in the state of New Hampshire within 30 days of hire.
Thorough knowledge of nutritional principles as they relate to athletic performance.
Knowledge of clinical nutrition and best practices in care for disordered eating.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to a range of stakeholders and a diverse population.
Ability to coordinate and manage student workers and volunteers.
Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a larger nutrition and integrated support team (IST).
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
Ability to work a nonstandard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in nutrition, exercise science or related field.
- Board certified specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
- Previous nutrition experience in an NCAA DI institution.
