Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Outpatient Dietitian to join our team. In this role, you will provide nutrition counseling and develop individualized plans for a diverse clientele, with a significant focus on individuals with eating disorders. You will utilize evidence-based practices, including Intuitive Eating and HAES principles, to support clients in achieving their health and well-being goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Evaluation & Counseling:
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for a diverse range of clients, including those with eating disorders, and provide individualized counseling addressing their unique needs and goals. This includes guidance on intuitive eating, general wellness, and specialized support for eating disorder recovery.
Individualized Nutrition Plans:
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that align with clients' goals and the treatment team's approach.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed documentation of client treatment in compliance with company policies, HIPAA regulations and best practice standards.
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
Work alongside outpatient treatment teams, including physicians and therapists, to ensure integrated care for clients.
Policy Compliance:
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including billing practices and ethical standards of care.
Work Hours & Availability:
Commit to a minimum of 12 billable hours per week with the potential of increasing hours and transitioning to a full-time schedule.
Ongoing Education & Development:
Participate in professional development activities and stay updated on the latest research in eating disorders, Intuitive Eating, HAES, and general nutrition best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Current licensure in the state of Missouri. Must be willing and able to see clients at our Des Peres and/or St Charles office. Experience working with individuals with eating disorders is highly preferred. Strong understanding of the psychological, behavioral, and medical aspects of eating disorders and a working knowledge of Intuitive Eating and HAES principles.. Exceptional verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Strong commitment to ongoing professional growth and a passion for supporting individuals in achieving a positive relationship with food and their bodies.
What We Offer:
