May work in a community setting or non-profit, governmental, or public health organization, offering nutritional advice to specific groups of people.

Key Duties As a Dialysis Registered Dietitian , you'll be an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team (ICT), helping patients manage chronic kidney disease through individualized nutrition care.
Responsibilities include:
Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for dialysis patients. Develop and update individualized nutrition care plans. Review monthly laboratory results and provide nutrition recommendations. Counsel and educate patients and families on kidney nutrition, medications, fluid management, and Healthy lifestyle changes that will improve the patients quality of life. Collaborate with medical directors, nephrologists, nurses, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team. Participate in monthly interdisciplinary care planning and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. Complete timely and accurate monthly documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Stay current with evidence-based renal nutrition guidelines and best practices. Coordinate and manage oral nutrition supplement (ONS) programs for all patients. Minimum Qualifications (Required) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Current Texas Licensed Dietitian (LD), or eligible to obtain Texas licensure before employment. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian. Strong communication, organization, and patient education skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Experience in dialysis, nephrology, or chronic disease management. Knowledge of KDOQI and KDIGO nutrition guidelines. Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Why Join Carmen [kidney] HEALTH?
