Duties Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans focusing on nutrition and dietary needs for residents in assisted living environments. Supervise dietary staff, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to ensure efficient service delivery. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate dietary modifications, including tube feeding and specialized nutrition plans. Manage food preparation processes adhering to safety standards, including handling of specialized feeding techniques such as tube feeding. Oversee budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective procurement of quality ingredients while maintaining high standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams to perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and physiology, supporting overall patient health. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Lead efforts in health coaching by educating residents on nutrition choices that support their health goals and lifestyle. Requirements Certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential from an accredited program. Proven management experience within dietary departments or healthcare settings, particularly in assisted living or similar environments. Strong knowledge of dietetics, physiology, and nutrition principles applicable to diverse resident needs. Experience supervising staff and coordinating team efforts to deliver exceptional dietary services. Familiarity with care planning processes, including patient assessment and individualized nutrition strategies. Ability to handle specialized nutritional interventions such as tube feeding and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on budgeting, compliance, and quality assurance. Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and team members.
