Job Description

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Bellway Health and Rehab Selma, Alabama Bellway Health and Rehab is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team in Selma, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is ready to take the next step in leadership or an experienced ADON looking to join a supportive team focused on quality care, staff development, and clinical excellence. As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, staff support, and positive clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assist in the daily operations of the nursing department Support and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Help oversee clinical compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in surveys and assist with plans of correction Monitor resident care plans and clinical documentation Assist with infection prevention, quality assurance, and risk management programs Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members Help manage staffing, scheduling, and nursing department performance Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care Qualifications Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license required Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred Leadership experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, Staff Development Coordinator, or Charge Nurse preferred Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and nursing home operations Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment What We Offer Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Career growth and advancement opportunities Supportive leadership team Ongoing education and professional development Employee recognition programs If you are passionate about clinical leadership, developing nursing teams, and delivering exceptional resident care, we would love to hear from you.
