This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with strong leadership to ensure exceptional resident care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and efficient management of nursing operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our residents and possess a comprehensive understanding of assisted living, memory care practices, and healthcare management. As a key leader, you will oversee nursing staff, coordinate care plans, and uphold the highest standards of medical and administrative excellence. Duties Lead and supervise the nursing team to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care aligned with community standards and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical needs and personal preferences. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy. Manage shift schedules efficiently to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining quality care delivery. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate documentation, medication administration records (MAR), and medical records updates. Coordinate with physicians, hospice providers, home health agencies, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive resident care including hospice care and acute care services. Ensure staff adherence to medical terminology standards, physiology and anatomy knowledge requirements, and proper documentation procedures. Monitor regulatory compliance related to state licensing requirements, and other healthcare policies. Conduct regular training sessions on nursing administration, nurse management best practices, documentation review techniques, and shift management strategies. Promote a culture of leadership within the nursing team by supervising staff development initiatives and fostering a collaborative work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with strong knowledge of resident's (personalized care needs). Extensive background in nursing administration with supervising experience in healthcare settings such as home health or hospice care. Demonstrated expertise in MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, care planning, and documentation review processes. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems used for medical records management and documentation accuracy. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and Medicare policies. Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing nurse teams effectively while ensuring high-quality resident care. Ability to handle shift management efficiently while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, family members, and regulatory agencies.
