Director of Nursing (RN) - Behavioral Health Oceans Healthcare - Phoenix Oceans Healthcare, a nationally growing behavioral hospital group, is opening a new joint commission accredited 40+ bed hospital facility in Phoenix. We are seeking a dynamic leader to direct and manage nursing operations for our first Arizona hospital. This new position presents exceptional leadership and development opportunities within a dynamic and growth-oriented organization. The Director of Nursing is responsible for patient care, staff management, resource management, and fiscal management. Specifically, the Director of Nursing participates as a member of the leadership team in planning and administrative decision making with reference to the role, functions and operations of the facilities nursing services within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the facility and coordinates nursing services.

Direct the functions of the nursing department in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Oversee nursing department staffing, retention, and development. Provide education, direction and mentorship of the team's function, purpose, and goals. Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitors staff practices and implementation. Collaborate with senior leadership and is actively involved in performance improvement process, including data collection and analysis, and process improvement activities. Assist with direct patient care nursing responsibilities during high flow work times. Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assess the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Comply with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
Director of Nursing Services Requirements:
Currently licensed as RN in the State of Arizona Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. 1 year psychiatric nursing experience Minimum of three (3) years of progressive management/leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
