This facility specializes in long-term care and behavioral health services, with a significant emphasis on psychiatric support. The Role As the Director of Nursing, you will provide clinical oversight for all nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining strict compliance with CMS, CDPH, and other regulatory standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Leadership :

Provide direct oversight and leadership for all nursing staff and department operations.

Compliance & Survey Readiness :

Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations; maintain the facility in a state of constant survey readiness.

Quality Assurance :

Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and monitor infection control programs.

Operations & Budgeting :

Manage department budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure optimal facility performance.

Staff Development :

Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel to foster high performance and staff retention.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration :

Work closely with physicians, therapy teams, social services, and administration to coordinate resident care plans and outcomes.

Required Qualifications Licensure :

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) specifically within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) .

Education :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certifications :

Current CPR/BLS certification.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Competencies :

Expert knowledge of SNF regulations and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Bilingual :

Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Specialties :

Experience or interest in Geriatrics and Psychiatry .
