Director of Nursing (DON) Willow Springs Post Acute - Palm Desert, CA. Full-Time |
Exempt Salary:
$110,000 - $150,000 annually (DOE) About Us Willow Springs Post Acute is dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical care and improving the lives of our residents. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department and ensure the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and team performance. Position Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and clinical oversight of the nursing department. This role ensures compliance with federal, state (CDPH/Title 22), and facility regulations while driving quality outcomes, staff development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance Ensure compliance with federal regulations, California Title 22, and CDPH standards Lead survey readiness efforts and manage regulatory audits and outcomes Develop and implement clinical programs to improve quality measures and patient outcomes Monitor infection control, risk management, and patient safety initiatives Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to build a strong, stable team Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and administration Manage departmental budgets and labor costs effectively Ensure accurate documentation, care planning, and PBJ compliance Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) Prior Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) experience preferred Strong knowledge of Title 22 regulations, survey process, and compliance standards Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills Experience with QAPI, infection control, and clinical quality improvement initiatives Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay 401(k) with employer match (if applicable) Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment Why Join Willow Springs Post Acute?
