Tampico Healthcare Center Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our team at Tampico Healthcare Center, a 128-bed skilled nursing rehabilitation center located in Walnut Creek, California. As an RN with at least two years of experience, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to our patients, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring a high level of quality care.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and administer direct nursing care, including evaluating residents' needs and developing individualized care plans Oversee daily staffing and ensure staffing needs are met, updating schedules as necessary Provide support and education to staff, residents, and families Collaborate with physicians, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care Evaluate resident records for accuracy and completeness, and review event reports for completion Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes, and assist with pharmacy and dietary recommendations Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellent patient care, teamwork, and communication
Requirements:
Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure to practice in the State of California Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited School of Nursing At least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or equivalent competency Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
