Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, SNF regulations, and effective nurse management. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while maintaining compliance with medical standards and documentation requirements. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient management of nursing staff and resources. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular reviews of medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with Medicare standards. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Monitor patient care outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as necessary. Ensure proper training and development opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills in anatomy, physiology, and patient care techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care. Proven leadership abilities with experience in nurse management within an assisted living or similar setting. Familiarity with SNF regulations and documentation review processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with staff, residents, and families. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of nursing operations.
