  • Full-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS), a vital leadership role dedicated to elevating resident care and fostering a compassionate, efficient nursing environment.
In this energetic position, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote a culture of excellence in resident-centered care. Your expertise in nursing administration and management will help create a supportive atmosphere where residents thrive and staff are empowered to deliver their best. Duties Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations across assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Supervise nursing staff, including nurse management and shift leaders, ensuring high-quality care delivery and adherence to care plans. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Monitor clinical practices related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, ensuring accurate data collection for Medicare and other reimbursement programs. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems efficiently for documentation, scheduling, and reporting purposes. Lead staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and proper documentation procedures to maintain clinical excellence. Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure proper staffing levels while maintaining quality standards in all care settings. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. Foster a positive work environment through leadership that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar healthcare environments such as home health or hospice care. Demonstrated supervising experience with strong nurse management skills and nursing administration expertise. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and care planning processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for documentation review and medical records management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards related to medical records confidentiality. Experience managing shift schedules within fast-paced healthcare settings while ensuring quality patient/resident care. Knowledge of Medicare requirements and reimbursement processes related to skilled nursing services.
