POSITION SUMMARY
The System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), for Health First's Hospital Division has executive leadership responsibility for nursing practice, nursing education, nursing culture, advancement of the nursing profession across the Hospital Division, cultivating collaborative interprofessional relationships across the division, and nursing innovation. The CNO will collaborate with Hospital Division, Vice Presidents of Nursing in planning, organizing, guiding, advancing and evaluating the quality of nursing practice throughout the Hospital Division. the System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer engages with other Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) IDN nursing executive leaders to align and elevate the quality of nursing care system-wide. The System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer, through partnership with the IDN's Quality team, is directly accountable for the quality and appropriateness of nursing care delivered to patients and contributes to the continuous improvement of nursing services and Associates. In partnership with the Executive Vice President, Hospital Division President, and the Vice President, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Hospital Division, the System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer provides strategic direction to establish and enhance evidence-based, innovative care delivery and professional practice models designed to improve clinical services, outcomes, patient throughput and safety. The System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer will continue the evolution of culture, engagement, and excellence within the Hospital Division nursing practice. The System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer is a member of the Hospital Division Executive Leadership Team (ELT), working closely with the System Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Hospital Division and Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC), Vice President, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Hospital Division, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Hospital Division, and Vice President, Community Hospital Presidents to drive strategic, operational and clinical performance for the Division. The System Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer is deeply committed to the Mission, Vision and Values of Health First, and inspirationally leads to achieve the Vision.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Partners with key stakeholders across the IDN to establish a consistent and effective nursing practice model to assure optimal care for our patients and career fulfillment for our nursing Associates. Leads nursing clinical committees, governance and collaborative forums to assure nursing associates have the opportunity to shape best practices within the organization (Professional Governance) by directing and coaching others to successfully implement, facilitate and evaluate nursing best practices. Chairs and leads the Nurse Executive Committee to continue a framework and governance for the evolution of the nursing profession at Health First while establishing and enhancing a culture of evidence-based decision making in clinical, management and leadership initiatives. Establishes and maintains positive effective communication and interprofessional relationships, fostering an effective working relationship with other senior leaders within the IDN by frequent communication and sharing of best practices. Contributes in local academic engagements while supporting student experiences and innovative learning models encouraging a culture of Nursing as a Profession Models innovation, adapts to change, and seeks new care models to address community needs and evolving healthcare trends; coaches and models leadership behaviors that support a reliable organization, emphasizing I-CARE values and personal accountability. Directs nursing education for the Hospital Division, pursuing academic partnerships and ensuring the establishment of various nursing programs to promote ongoing professional development. Collaborates and supports in the development of practice standards, policies, procedures, and nurse-driven protocols based upon the best available evidence. Works in partnership with key stakeholders to develop the overall Hospital division customer experience plan and monitors progress towards goals. Coaches and provides feedback to reinforce the expectations for Health First customer service behaviors; promotes the pursuit of high-value nursing certifications and accreditations in recognition of nursing excellence. Works with operations, physician leadership, medical staff, Case Management, and post-acute services (Home Health, SNF, Rehab) to drive throughput efficiency and end-to-end patient flow from the Emergency Department through inpatient stay to discharge to strengthen shared accountability for length of stay, clinical standardization, variation reduction, denial management, labor performance, and revenue integrity. Participates as member of IDN Councils as assigned.LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES

Display strong strategic and financial acumen in areas of responsibility in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. Work ExperienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or a relevant field.Work Experience:
Five (5) years' progressive leadership, and administrative experience with a healthcare provider.Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida.Certification:
None Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Expert communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to guide programs for associate and leadership development. Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects at a given time. Expertise in program development utilizing analysis and strategic planning skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Seven (7) years' progressive leadership, and administrative experience with a healthcare provider.Certification:
National certification in the Nursing or Healthcare field.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined.
