Visit our website at www.fkppec.com A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center allows Medicaid eligible children from birth through age 20 with medically-complex but stable conditions to receive continual medical care in a non-residential setting. As a Director of Nursing with First Kid's PPEC, you must understand operational processes of the clinic. You must have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, be able to advocate for both patients and employees and have the skills to balance the interests of the company and the people we serve. You must be an independent decision maker and able to manage people in a motivational and constructive way, as well solve quality control related problems. Also, you must have a strong work ethic, good people management skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. Additional responsibilities of the Director of Nursing may also include but are not limited to: Managing RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and Therapist Teams as needed Meeting with staff & therapists to discuss patient cases Increasing or decreasing staffing levels as needed Conducting meetings and reviewing patient care reports with Medical Director Meeting once a week with Executive Team to review overall clinic operations Conduct and execute weekly staff conferences to go over work performance and specific patient cases Ensure compliance with state regulations Perform care as defined by client's individual Plan of Care Initiates plans of care and makes necessary revisions Required Skills Current RN license in the state of Florida Associate degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred Must be dedicated to customer service Must have computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to learn to navigate the practice management and EHR software Background in healthcare management AHCA state and federal regulation knowledge preferred but not required Required Experience Combined 2 years of experience providing pediatric care Strong leadership experience required Experience working with eQHealth Solutions to obtain Prior Authorization preferred, but not required Strong English (both spoken and written) skills- particularly for patient notes and charting
