Under new ownership, we are focused on building a strong clinical foundation, creating a culture of excellence, and developing a home health organization that puts patients, families, and caregivers first. This is an opportunity for the right nursing leader to work closely with the owner and play a meaningful role in shaping the agency's clinical operations, culture, processes, and future. The Opportunity As Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and oversight for the agency's clinical operations and nursing services. You will help establish and maintain policies, systems, and standards that support exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, strong clinical outcomes, and a positive experience for both patients and employees. The ideal candidate is a confident clinical leader who understands the unique demands of Medicare-certified home health and is comfortable working in a growing organization where their ideas, leadership, and experience can make a real difference. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing and clinical operations. Work closely with the Owner and Administrator to develop a strong clinical foundation and establish effective operational processes. Ensure patient care is delivered safely, compassionately, and in accordance with Medicare, federal, state, and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Oversee the recruitment, orientation, supervision, and ongoing development of nursing and clinical staff. Support and mentor clinicians while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional excellence. Monitor quality of care, patient outcomes, documentation, and adherence to the plan of care. Lead and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and ensure ongoing compliance with Medicare and applicable state requirements. Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, caregivers, referral sources, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Assist with developing systems that support efficient patient admissions, care coordination, clinical documentation, and continuity of care. Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative in implementing practical solutions. Help establish a positive organizational culture built on integrity, communication, accountability, and patient-centered care. Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives as the agency develops. What We're Looking For Current RN license in the state of operation, in good standing. Previous leadership or management experience in home health is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of Medicare-certified home health operations, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements. Experience supervising and developing nursing and/or clinical staff. Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, patient care standards, and regulatory compliance. Experience with OASIS, Medicare home health requirements, and QAPI preferred. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with ownership and the administrative team. A hands-on leadership style with the ability to both develop systems and support staff in day-to-day operations.
