We are seeking a strong clinical leader to serve as our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a focused emphasis on Infection Prevention and Control. Position Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations while leading and strengthening the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and drives continuous quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, detail-oriented, regulatory-focused, and passionate about protecting residents and staff from healthcare-associated infections. Key Responsibilities Infection Prevention & Control Leadership Serve as the facility's Infection Preventionist in accordance with CMS and state requirements Develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention & Control Plan Conduct routine infection surveillance, tracking, and trending Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives Ensure compliance with guidance from the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Educate staff on infection control practices, PPE usage, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions Lead outbreak investigations and response efforts Maintain documentation and prepare reports for audits and surveys Clinical & Administrative Support Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations Support staff development, coaching, and performance management Participate in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities Ensure compliance with regulations set by the Florida Board of Nursing Conduct clinical rounds and monitor resident care standards Assist with survey preparedness and regulatory compliance Qualifications Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care Infection Prevention certification (IP, CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care survey process Experience with infection surveillance systems and antibiotic stewardship Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Work Schedule Full-Time On-call rotation as needed Occasional weekend availability for clinical oversight Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Professional development and certification support Leadership growth opportunities Why Join Our Team?
