Job Overview Presbyterian Village a Premier Retirement Community in Austell, GA is seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically strong Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the overall nursing operations of our Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing community. This leadership role works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold an Infection Control Preventionist (ICP/IP) certification or have a strong interest and willingness to obtain certification and lead infection prevention initiatives within the community. A $10,000 sign-on supplement is available for qualified applicants committed to advancing their nursing leadership career with us. Responsibilities (overview): Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations of the nursing department. Provide leadership, support and supervision to the nursing staff including RN's, LPNs and CNAs. Ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care. Support compliance with state, federal and company regulations. Participate in staff education, mentoring, coaching, and performance management. Assist with survey preparedness and plan of correction follow-up. Monitor clinical documentation, audits and quality assurance initiatives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive resident outcomes. Assist with scheduling, staffing oversight, and workflow coordination. Support admissions, care planning, and resident/family communication as needed. Lead or support infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility. Track and report infection control data and assist with implementation prevention strategies. Qualifications/Experience (overview): Active RN License in good standing with a required current GA state license. Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing preferred. Strong knowledge of LTC regulations, clinical practices, and survey process. Working knowledge of electronic medical records. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions as necessary. Excellent customer service and effective communication skills necessary. Infection Preventionist certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within designated timeframe. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in shift management and team development initiatives.
