Care Hawaii is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead nursing operations for its community-based mental health program serving adults across Hawaiʻi. Reporting to the Medical Director, Executive Director, and President, this role ensures consistent, high-quality care across multiple sites. Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff and statewide nursing operations Schedule RNs and ensure appropriate coverage across program sites Provide direct care coverage during staffing gaps or emergencies (Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island) Support clinical care, medication management, and assessments Manage hiring, training, and staff development Ensure compliance with DOH, licensing, and documentation standards Support quality assurance, audits, and interdisciplinary collaboration Qualifications RN or APRN with prescriptive authority (Psych/Mental Health) with active Hawaii license 3+ years mental health experience (RN required; APRN may substitute with certification) 1+ year leadership experience Requirements CPR/First Aid, TB clearance, background check CPI/Restraint certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with EHR systems Full-time, in-person | Community-based | Interisland travel required |
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
