Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding career in Skilled Nursing? We are currently searching for an Assistant Director of Nursing to join our friendly, caring and supportive team! Few jobs offer the opportunity to make a difference in another person's life every day That is exactly what the Assistant Director of Nursing at La Bella of Edwardsville does. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, working along with the Director of Nursing, you will impact the lives of our residents by - Assisting the Director of Nursing with defining and maintaining the standards of nursing practice within the community Assists with the oversight of provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and general nursing services according to the resident's care plan and physician directed orders. Assists in the development and maintenance of in-service education programs for nursing staff. Conducts and participates in daily rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care. May be required to be "on-call" periodically or as specifically needed by community. Participates as a member of the community's management team in planning, policy formation and administrative decision-making, with particular emphasis on the community's care giver and nursing services. Assumes responsibilities of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence Provide nursing coverage and assistance when needed. Assess residents and potential residents for appropriate levels of care. Manage and coordinate the work of all nursing and care staff, communicating pertinent resident health and safety information.
Qualifications:
Current state license for RN 3+ years of nursing experience in a senior care community with proven leadership and organizational skills required Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred Working knowledge of best person-directed care practices for seniors, including those with dementia preferred. Must possess a current CPR certification at all times Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience in staffing, leading, developing, and retaining a strong resident care team. Ability to oversee the delivery of quality care and services to our residents in compliance with the regulations pertaining to care plans and resident assessments. Must possess knowledge of state regulations regarding senior living care, as well as a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times with the ability to effectively perform conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed. Ability to work well with others and take direction from management, as well as take initiative - willing to go above and beyond to ensure our residents needs are met and they are comfortable in their living environment. Self-motivated to accomplish identified goals with a strong sense of accountability for results. Proficiency in computer applications such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc), Electronic Health Record systems (EHR), such as
