Director of Nursing (DON)
Location:
Rockford, IL Salary:
$120,000 - $140,000 annually We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at a busy skilled nursing facility in the Rockford, Illinois area. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing nursing services, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving clinical outcomes, and supporting a culture of excellence in resident care.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all nursing department operations Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Oversee staffing, scheduling, and retention initiatives Monitor clinical quality indicators and survey readiness Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve resident outcomes Mentor and develop nursing leaders, including ADONs and Unit Managers Manage infection prevention, quality assurance, and risk management programs Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff
Qualifications:
Active Illinois RN license Prior Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process Experience managing large nursing teams Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
