Full-Time Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Entera Healthcare LTD plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing clinical operations within the home health setting. The ADON ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, supervises nursing staff, and assists in maintaining high-quality patient care. This role requires proficiency in Axxess EMR for documentation and workflow management. The ADON will also be required to work in the field on an as-needed basis, conducting supervisory visits to ensure compliance with patient care standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight & Patient Care Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing daily clinical operations. Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state home health regulations. Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Conduct chart audits to ensure accurate documentation in Axxess
EMR. IDPH
Portal Management. Monitor patient care plans and ensure adherence to physician orders. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings. Perform supervisory visits in the field as needed to assess patient care and staff performance. Staff Management & Training Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating nursing staff. Provide ongoing education on home health policies and procedures. Ensure staff compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols. Address performance issues and implement corrective actions when necessary. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines, Joint Commission standards, and IDPH regulations. Assist in preparing for state audits and accreditation surveys. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care. Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of reports in Axxess EMR. Operational & Administrative Duties Assist with scheduling and coordination of nursing visits. Monitor billing and reimbursement processes related to nursing services. Support the DON in budget planning and resource allocation. Address patient and family concerns, ensuring high-quality customer service.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Required Education:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in a home health setting. At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience. Proficiency in Axxess EMR or similar home health software.
Certifications:
CPR/BLS certification required. OASIS certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
✔ Strong leadership and team management skills. ✔ Excellent knowledge of home health regulations and compliance. ✔ Proficiency in Axxess EMR for documentation and workflow management. ✔ Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced home health environment. ✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
Based in Rosemont, Illinois, with field visits as needed. Requires flexibility to address urgent patient care needs. Combination of office-based work and field supervision.
