This pivotal role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional resident care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, and home health services, with a strong focus on leadership, management, and clinical excellence. As a key leader, you will champion quality care initiatives, foster a positive team culture, and ensure adherence to all regulatory standards including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines. Your expertise in nursing administration and documentation review will drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of resident safety and satisfaction. Duties Lead and supervise nursing staff across all shifts, ensuring effective shift management and optimal staffing levels. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including those requiring hospice care or acute care services. Oversee the preparation and review of medical records, documentation, and medical terminology to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Supervise the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate data entry and reporting. Conduct regular audits of medical records, documentation review processes, and care documentation to maintain regulatory compliance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality standards are met in all aspects of nursing care including MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for Medicare residents. Provide leadership in nurse management activities such as training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and supervising nursing administration functions Qualifications Proven management experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong background in nurse management and supervising teams. Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems for clinical documentation and reporting purposes. Strong understanding of Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance requirements, and healthcare accreditation standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while fostering a collaborative environment focused on resident-centered care. Ability to review complex medical records accurately while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for liaising with residents' families, healthcare providers, regulatory agencies, and team members.
