This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing leader who enjoys building strong teams, maintaining high clinical standards, and creating an environment where residents receive exceptional care. As the Director of Nursing , you'll oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, partner closely with the Executive Director and interdisciplinary team, and help ensure outstanding resident outcomes while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations. Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the nursing team. Oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Department. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, and regulatory readiness. Develop staffing plans and support employee retention and engagement. Collaborate with physicians, families, therapists, and department leaders. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings. Promote a positive culture focused on resident-centered care. Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of nursing staff. Manage clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards. Qualifications Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. Strong knowledge of IDPH, CMS, and long-term care regulations. Experience with survey preparation and quality improvement initiatives. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Passion for mentoring staff and providing exceptional resident care.
